The Bryan County Democratic Party (BCDP) and the Bryan County Federation of Democratic Women (BCFDW) jointly sponsored a meet-and-greet campaign event recently in support of Brandon Wade, candidate for the office of U. S. Representative from Congressional District 2, currently held by Rep. Josh Brecheen. Pictured are candidate Wade, BCDP chair Don Rogers, BCFDW chair Charlotte Young, and John Weston, Washington County party chair. Weston, a lifelong friend of Wade, is also party vice-chair for CD2, and thus is a delegate to the upcoming Democratic National Convention. Wade, a third-generation union worker, stresses his experience negotiating union contracts as a basis for working for and with “all the people,” and his intention to help “make Congress function better.” The event was held at Lost Street Brewery in Durant. Earlier that day, Wade met with students and faculty members at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Photo provided
