Fast-pitch softball regional brackets are set

Regional fast-pitch softball brackets have been set for six local high school teams who won their district championships.


Class 2A: The Colbert Lady Leopards will travel to Wister for a noon Thursday game. The next game would be held at 4 0r 6 p.m. Thursday with a loss or win. Pocola and Panama are the other teams in this bracket.


Silo and Tushka (the spring slow-pitch state champion) will both ravel to Konawa for games starting Thursday. The Lady Tigers face the host Konawa Lady Tigers at noon, while Silo and Cyril/Cement will tangle at 2 p.m. Losers will play at 4 p.m. and winners at 6 p.m.


Class A: Rock Creek takes on Allen at 2 p.m. Thursday in Roff. Losers play at 4 p.m. against the loser between Roff and Weleetka; winners square off at 6 p.m. Thursday.


Class B: The Caney Lady Cougars will host a potent regional to include Bennington, Battiest and Buffalo Valley. Caney hosts Battiest at noon Thursday; Bennington and Buffalo Valley get underway at 2 p.m. Bracket games will be held at 4 p.m. (losers) and 6 p.m. (winners).


Each regional includes two or three games to be held on Friday afternoon. Only one of the four teams in each bracket will advance to the state tournament.
