McKnight’s 25 sets tempo in Calera victory

CALERA - New Bulldog Bradley McKnight torched Soper for 25 points on Tuesday to pace a 61-38 Calera victory over the visiting Red Bears.

“It was good to get the first win,” said Head Coach Brad McKnight, the sophomore shooting guard’s father. “We have lots of improving to do and we plan on doing it.”

Johnathan Diamond added eight points for the Bulldogs, followed by seven from Tanner Davis and six for Chuck Baker to round out the leaders.

The Bulldogs (1-2) travel to Wright City on Friday. The LumberJax are 2-0 with an average victory margin of more than 20 points per game.

Other Tuesday scores:

Tushka 62 Stringtown 26. The Tigers are 4-0 to start the season.

Wapanucka 69 Bennington 62 (OT).
