Southeastern Rodeo held its dinner Tuesday night and awarded two scholarships. Ari Anna Flynn, who is a junior at SOSU, received the Cindy Ann Perrin scholarship and Shania Johnston, who is currently attending Vernon, Tx. Junior College, received the Betty Gayle Cooper-Ratliff scholarship. Johnston will attend SOSU in the fall.

Southeastern rodeo is set to host its lone home contest of the season when it welcomes the rest of the Central Plains Region to the Betty Gayle Cooper-Ratliff Memorial Rodeo April 3-5 at the Durant Round-Up Club Arena. There will be around 400 contestants and from over 25 colleges and universities represented from Kansas and Oklahoma.

The event features nightly performances at 7:30 p.m. beginning today, as well as the chance to catch even more rodeo action with performances beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $3 for kids ages five to 13. As with all regular season Savage Storm events, SE students get in free.

Saturday will also be “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” Night with anyone wearing pink will get $2 off the price of admission.

Southeastern comes into its home rodeo ranked sixth in the region on the women’s side and seventh on the men’s side.
