Mustangs topple Tupleo in Rock Creek tournament

BOKCHITO - The Rock Creek Mustangs advance to the championship game in its tourney after they beat Tupelo 4-1 on Friday afternoon.

Zach Cook was the Mustangs’ starting pitcher. Cook dominated on the mound as he struck-out 11 Tupelo batters and pitched a complete game.

Cook also helped his own cause at the plate as he went 2-for-3, hit a triple and scored two runs. Noe Alaniz went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and 1 RBI. Josh Eiler went 2-for-3, a double and a RBI.

Other scores from Friday’s games: Ratten over Caney 5-3; Caddo Bruins were knocked out by Wright City 12-8 and Thackerville won a close game against Smithville 4-3 in nine innings.
