The inaugural History in the Making Golf Tournament to benefit Durant’s Three Valley Museum is slated for May 3 at Chickasaw Pointe Golf Course, overlooking Lake Texoma.

Registration for the four-person scramble will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start set for 8:30 a.m. Entry fee is $100 and includes a round of golf, cart, after-play meal and a tee-box gift. Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place teams, and for the longest drive and closest to the pin. Also, a hole in one means a chance to win a new car provided by Stuteville Chevrolet of Durant.

All proceeds will go toward restoration and preservation of Three Valley Museum.

Choctaw Casino Resort, State Farm agent Greg Phillips and Indian Nation Wholesale are primary sponsors of the event. Other tiered sponsorships are available. Monetary and prize donations also are welcome.
