Browns to celebrate 50th anniversary

Sammy and Linda (Davis) Brown, were married June 23, 1967, in Calera, Oklahoma, by the Reverend Eugene Morrison of the First Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Chappell served as best man and matron of honor.

Sammy worked many years at J & S Manufacturing, owned by he and his brother, and is since retired.

Linda worked 30 years for Child Welfare Services in Durant Oklahoma, and is also retired. Sam and Linda have one son, Alan Brown and wife Julie of Calera. They have one granddaughter, Sydnee Brown of Calera; and one grandson, Mitchell Aldridge and wife Brittany of St. Peters, Missouri along with their three children.

Sammy and Linda Brown will be celebrating their 50th anniversary at an open house on Saturday, June 24th, from 4-7 p.m. There will be a come and go reception at the home of Alan and Julie Brown in Calera, Oklahoma. Food and refreshments will be served. The couple has asked that those attending bring no gifts.
