Bryan County Magnolia Garden Club holds meeting


The sixth meeting of the Bryan County Magnolia Garden Club was held on March 21 at the Blue River Valley Winery. There were 7 members and a guest attending

Vangie Wingfield called the meeting to order. Minutes were reviewed and confirmed. Karen Graham gave a Treasury report.

Texoma Spring Garden Show at the Community Building is April 7 – 8, 2017. This year there will be a Wildflower Workshop and other programs planned. Plans were made for the Bryan County Magnolia Garden Club booth. The proceeds from this booth at the Texoma Spring Garden Show will be used for Scholarships to Southeastern State University.

Our Speaker today was Hillary Dean, owner of Blue River Winery. He presented an interesting program of how they came to be in business here and how they have grown. It is located on a lovely area of the Blue River Valley.

The group enjoyed a Picnic and also enjoyed the scenery and the ability to be together. Debra Ross, guest of Vangie Wingfield joined the Club.

Pennies for Pines was collected.

June 2-3 will be our our State Convention in Norman.

With no other business to discuss, meeting adjourned.
