The Southeastern Chorale, the premier choral ensemble for Southeastern Oklahoma State University, will be featured in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in the Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Building.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Dr. Stacy Weger, the Chorale will present Imagined Corners – a Choral Journey, featuring music representative of the four cardinal points of the globe.
This concert of secular music will range from English to Chinese folk songs and also includes Native American music and Japanese vocal jazz.
The resulting works utilize a wide range of vocal techniques and writing styles ranging from spoken chorus to contemporary choral music.
Jesseca Shipman, junior music education major from Kiowa, will serve as student conductor for this event.
