The Eager Home and Community Education Group met in the home of Ivy Hughs for their regular monthly meeting March 21, 2017, at 1 p.m.
The meeting was opened by the Group reciting the flag salute in unison. Ruth Thompson brought the devotion on God Is Faithful and Prayer Brings the Peace of God.
Old business was a report on the progress of the caddies being made for the Nursing Home; only a few not finished.
Time was decided on 6:45 a.m. to leave from the Community Building to catch the van to Southeast District meeting at McAlester, Oklahoma. The group voted to pay Jack Accountius’ fee as he is our Driver.
The Spring Garden show will be April 7 from 9 to 6 p.m. and April 8 from 9:a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Bldg.
The Group voted to discontinue contributing to the soldiers box.
The Fair booth in September was discussed. Arleta will can green beans, Dot will can the jam and Ivy will make the bread for the booth.
The Group will meet at Dot’s home to work on the scrapbook April 3.
April 5 is the Executive meeting at 10 a.m. at the Bryan County Community building on South 9th street. Lesson will be on Cultural Enrichment.
The April meeting will be in Ruth Thompson’s home April 18 at 1 p.m.
