On April 13, 2017, six members attended the monthly OHCE Calera Group meeting which took place at the Bryan County Community Building
The meeting was called to order at 10:30 a.m., with the members standing for the Pledge of Allegiance and then the recitation of the OHCE Creed. Reports were given.
President Bond reviewed the topics for discussion during the Bryan County OHCE April Executive meeting.
For the May 3 executive meeting, members are urged to bring a guest, finger food, and drinks. They are to wear their favorite apron. Presentation of Scholarships will be made at that time.
Hostesses for the monthly meetings were chosen for the rest of the year. Since the scheduled hostess is unable to have the meeting for the month of May, It was decided to change that meeting and have another sew day to complete what could not be finished at this time.
The Calera Group voted to participate in the upcoming project to be presented by the Heritage Quilter’s Club. This decision will be presented at the Executive meeting in May.
Suni reminded members the Entries for the Quilt show is April 20 and the viewing will begin on April 21 and 22nd.
Pat made a report on the donation given to the Sheriff’s department and related the Bryan County Scholarship recipients.
With all business taken care of, the group gathered their towels, scissors, thread, and material and started making the bibs and walker totes to be taken to the Veteran’s Nursing Home in Bonham.
The next Calera group meeting will be on May 11 at the Bryan County Community Building at 1:30 p.m .and will be another sew day.

Quilter’s Show: Entries can be made on April 20th and viewing on 21st and 22nd.
April 27 there will be a “Fair Judging” class in Marshall County.
