Mr. and Mrs. Clay Collins of Durant are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married June 6, 1964, in Tucker, Okla.
Clay has served as educator for Future Farmers of America in Kansas and Oklahoma. He is retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, working with Farmers Home Administration in Oklahoma. He’s currently working at REI in Durant.
Barbara has worked at Plastics Research in Fort Smith, Ark., Frederick (Okla.) Independent School District and as a medical receptionist for Dr. Prabhudas Patel in Frederick. She’s currently providing childcare in her home.
Both serve as Victory Life Church life group leaders.
Clay and Barbara have two children, daughter Tonya Jenkins and husband Jay of Wylie, Texas, and son Shawn Collins and wife Allison of Durant. They enjoy spending time with their six grandchildren — Taylor, Regan and Micah Jenkins, and Logan, Lauren and Donovan Collins.
They will celebrate their anniversary with a gift from their children to Hidden Hills Cabins in Broken Bow.
