The Three Valley Riders motorcycle club is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Durant Police Department.

Capt. Joe Kirk, a retired DPD captain, who is also president of TVR, said the club was organized in September 2003. It began with law enforcement and civilian motorcyclists riding to a law enforcement memorial in Oklahoma city for several years before the club was formed.

The club, which has approximately 30 members, meets the first Saturday of the month at the former senior citizen’s center in Bennington. It has been active in many community projects in its 10-year history, including Special Olympics, blood drives and raising money for Colbert Police to purchase bulletproof vests.

Saturday’s meeting will be at the Durant Police Department because the club’s first meeting was held at the old DPD building. Capt. Kirk invites those interested to attend.

“All old members are invited and new members are welcome,” Capt. Kirk said.

For more information, call Capt. Kirk at 580-847 2267 or 775-3720.
