One person was sent to the hospital after a three-car accident at a Calera intersection Tuesday morning. According to Calera Police, two pickup trucks stopped at a stop light were struck by a car at approximately 9 a.m. on Tuesday.


The trucks sustained damage but both drivers were unharmed. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital.


Traffic in the area of the accident at the intersection of Highway 75/69 and McKinley Road was diverted, causing slow traffic in the area.


Investigations are still underway to determine what caused the car to run into the two trucks.
