Man injured at Choctaw Casino construction site

 A 52-year-old man was injured Sunday morning at the Choctaw Casino construction site.

According to the Durant Fire Department, the man was pinned on a dump trailer when firefighters arrived at 8:59.
The man suffered injuries to his left shoulder, arm, leg and hip.
Bryan County EMS put him in an ambulance and took him to Texoma Medical Center where he was treated and later released.
In other emergency calls, an abandoned trailer on Crowder Road in Lakewood Ranchettes was damaged Sunday morning during a fire. Firefighters responded at 10:28, and according to Lakewood Fire Chief Paul Weber, the fire was of suspicious origin and is under investigation by the Oklahoma Fire Marshal’s Office.

Durant firefighters were dispatched at 6:43 p.m. Sunday to a small grass fire in the 300 block of Northeast Fifth Avenue. They put out the fire and left the scene seven minutes later.

Firefighters also responded to a grass fire Friday afternoon behind Tucker’s Slaughterhouse in the 400 block of Northeast Fifth Avenue. The fire scorched approximately three quarters of an acre.
