A medical condition was the cause of a crash and the death of a Sherman woman early Thursday afternoon at the Highway 69/75 and Choctaw Road intersection, the Durant Police Department said.

According to police, Leveta Keeling, 69, was unconscious at the scene after her car went through the intersection, was in a minor collision with a truck and then ended up in a field.

Medical personnel used CPR to try to revive and she was then taken to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant where she was pronounced dead from the undisclosed medical condition.

No one else was injured.
