The Mead group of Oklahoma Home and Community Education met in the home of Gloria Ann Nation at 11 a.m. July 28. President Jolene Reid called the meeting to order.

The group’s plan for the Bryan County Fair was the main focus of the business meeting. Ann showed the group the quilt she is making for the group’s fair booth. Other members are canning, sewing and working on items for display in the booth.

Plans were discussed for the next business meeting, to be conducted during the fair.

The treasurer’s report was given by Ruth Sanders.

The business meeting was adjourned as everyone prepared to enjoy a meal furnished by the chapter’s president. Lillie Harris gave the blessing, and the ladies had lunch and fellowship.

Members in attendance were Jolene Reid, Barbara Decker, Ruth Sanders, Lillie Harris, Gloria Ann Nation and Judy Nichols.
