A bomb threat at the courthouse is under investigation by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Johnny Christian said the communications center received a computer-generated call during the lunch hour on Friday warning of a bomb at the courthouse.
No bomb was found.
“Myself and about a dozen deputies searched and cleared every floor,” Christian said.
The sheriff said that although it may have been a prank call, all such threats are taken seriously.
Christian encourages citizens to be on the lookout for anything suspicious.
“Pay attention,” he said. “If anything looks abnormal, report it. We all have a duty to be vigilant and pay attention.”
