Durant firefighters are shown at the scene of a hit-and-run crash that happened late Thursday afternoon at the West Elm Street and North 11th Avenue intersection. According to the fire department, the vehicle shown was traveling on Elm Street when another vehicle struck it. The driver of that vehicle did not stop after the accident. Firefighters used an extraction tool to open the door of the vehicle shown and the driver got out and walked to an ambulance. Durant Police found the other vehicle, a Ford F150 pickup, at Wood Manor Apartments, and when the owner arrived, he reported it stolen, according to police. Anyone with information on the driver of the pickup is encouraged to call police at 924-3737.
