Local museum looks for golfers

The Three Valley Museum is still looking for teams to play in its inaugural History in the Making Golf Tournament slated for May 3.Museum Curator Nancy Farris said people have pledged to play, but not enough have actually signed up.Entry fee for this four-person scramble is $100 and includes a round of golf, cart, after-play meal and a tee-box gift. Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place teams, and for the longest drive and closest to the pin.One person who makes a hole-in-one will win a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic from Stuteville Chevrolet. Owner Eric Stuteville said there could be other prizes, such as a trip, for those who make a hole-in-one as well.

 

Durant soccer teams suffer Senior Night loss

DURANT — The Durant Lions hosted Cascia Hall on what turned out to be a Senior Night-mare. The Lady Lions fell 11-1 and the boys were edged 3-0 to mark the last game of the regular for the soccer teams.The Lady Lions ended the season with a 7-6 record and finished 2-5 in district play.
