A Calera man is facing charges of first-degree rape and domestic abuse: assault and battery after his girlfriend told police that he hit her and forced sex upon her.
The girlfriend of Spencer Peacock, 22, told Calera Police that the two had gotten into an argument at a local restaurant during which Peacock stuck her.
She said that the next morning she went to Peacock’s home where he then punched her in the stomach and forced himself on her after she told him she did not “want to be messed with.”
According to an affidavit, the woman said she did not stop Peacock when he began to have sex with her because she hoped it would calm him and she was afraid of what might happen if she stopped him.
After the forced sex, the alleged victim said she began to bleed from her private area, the affidavit states. She said this was not the first time Peacock had been violent or forced sex on her.
The woman claimed Peacock had previously choked her and engaged in non-consensual sexual acts on several occasions throughout their relationship, according to the affidavit.
Peacock told police that the two did have an argument at the restaurant about him talking to another girl, according to the affidavit, and he said that they quickly made up and he tried to console her by placing his hand on her face and kissing her.
He said that the next morning the two engaged in “make up sex” but denied striking her in the stomach, saying she was prone to make things up and “cause drama,” the affidavit states.
Peacock was arrested and transported to Bryan County Jail where he was booked for rape in the first degree and domestic assault and battery. His bond was set at $50,000 and his next court date is Dec. 15
