The Spring Sensations Style Show will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 at Merle Norman and Generations, 202 W. Evergreen St.

Models will be premiering the latest fashion trends for the spring season. Tickets are only $10 and may be purchased from the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce, Kopper Kettle, Big Babz, 2nd Street Salon, The Noisy Goose, The Pink Door Boutique, Bliss, Merle Norman and Generations. Lunch will be provided by The Noisy Goose.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Dashing to Durant lighting project.
The lighting initiatives goal is to have lights placed on the downtown trees year round. In order to do so, the trees must be properly trimmed and lights hung by professionals. The cost per tree will be approximately $250. Therefore, all proceeds from this event will be added to the Dashing to Durant fund at the Chamber of Commerce. An example of the proposed trees can be seen at the Kopper Kettle 215 W Main. For more information about the event or how you can help, please contact Stephanie Williams at 924-1099, Janet Reed at the chamber 924-0848 and Tiffany Pierce at Main Street.
