ALVA, Okla. - Southeastern volleyball evened its Great American Conference record with a 3-1 victory on the road over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon in Alva, Okla.


The win moved the Savage Storm to 6-4 overall on the year and 1-1 in league play, while NWOSU slips to 1-9 and 0-2 in the GAC.


SE opened with a 25-17 win in set one, but saw the Rangers even the match with a 25-22 win in set two. The Storm would respond and regain the lead and pick up the win with back-to-back 25-23 wins in sets three and four.


Emily Gentle led all attackers with 20 kills on the afternoon, hitting .320 with just four errors. Courtney Miller turned in her best offensive outing of the season with 13 kills while hitting .478, while Megan Kunkel bounced back from Tuesday’s outing with 10 kills.


Madelynne Cera dished out 38 assists and completed a double with 11 digs, while flirting with a triple double by putting up seven kills.


Taylor Benner led the back row defense with 14 digs, while Gentle completed her double-double with 12 digs, while Cera added 11.


Caitlyn Mills and Kunkel each added three blocks as the Storm finished with 10 as a team.
