CADDO - The Calera Bulldogs cruised to a 56-45 victory over Caddo on Tuesday behind 21 points from Bradley McKnight and 10 for Braxton Barton.
Calera remains one of the hottest high school basketball teams in the region, improving to 18-6 on the season with the Tuesday victory. This gives the Bulldogs the same record as Silo. The Rebels are currently ranked No. 13 in Class 2A.
The Bulldogs remain unranked going into the final week of the regular season despite impressive results as of late. But only five teams (including Silo) in the top 20 have five or more losses.
Calera will host Atoka this Friday in the final game of the historic Joe “Bok” Loughlin Gym. Boys play at 8 p.m. following the girls game at 6:30. Senior night events also will be held.
Next week, the Bulldogs will participate in a three-team district playoff in Fort Towson against the host Tigers and the No. 4 team in 2A, Haworth (21-3). Brackets and times will be released this weekend.
