SILO - The Silo Rebels powered its way pass the Caddo Bruins Tuesday afternoon to the tune of 12-0 in a run-rule contest.
Silo’s offense and defense brought its “A” game against Caddo. The Rebels pitching kept Bruin batters at bay as they produced two hits, while Silo’s offense flexed it’s muscle.
The Rebels starting pitcher Trenton Long got the win as he looked to be in midseason form. Long tossed three no-hit innings along with seven strike-outs and allowed only two walks.
Andrew Bolin came in as relief in the fourth inning and got the save as scattered two hits, with four strike-outs and surrender two walks.
Silo’s Lance House had another huge day at the park. House belted a three run homerun over dead center field wall. On Monday, House knocked a homerun against Coleman.
In the top of the first inning, Caddo went three-up and three-down as Long struck-out the side.
Silo wasted little time at the plate and jumped to 4-0 in the bottom of the first inning. Jarris Hamilton hit a double for 2 RBIs. Then Karson Rogers and Tanner Hearon both hit RBIs.
Bruin batters were still cold in the top of the second inning as Tristen Paris drew a walk, but the rest of line went down strikes.
In the bottom of the second inning, Silo exploded for three more runs. With two men on, House stepped into the batters box and belted to dead center field for a three-run homer. Silo led 7-0.
Silo would add a run to their total in the third inning, then put the game away in the fourth inning.
In the bottom of the fourth period, Silo batters kept rolling. Rogers, Tanner Clark, Lucas Long and Bolin all hit RBI’s to close out the game.
House had 3 RBI’s, Hamilton had 2 RBI’s, Hearon had 2 RBI’s, Bolin had 2 RBI’s, Rogers, Clark and L. Long all had a RBI each.
Next home game is Friday against Dribble at 5 p.m.
