Southeastern outfielder Ryan Salter has been named the Great American Conference Player of the Week following his performance in the team’s sweep of Northwestern Oklahoma State over the weekend.
Salter, a senior from Oak Point, Texas, hit .571 over the three-game sweep that helped keep SE in the mix for a trip to the GAC Tournament.
He officially finished 4-for-7 on the weekend, but also added a pair of walks and a pair of sacrifice hits to boost his on-base percentage to .667 for the series.
He had a double and a triple among his hits, and put up one RBI while scoring five runs and slugging 1.000.
Salter also added three stolen bases to his team-high total. He has 23 on the year, which is good for second in the league.
Southeastern will be back in action April 18-19 when it sets out to Weatherford, Okla., for its final GAC road trip of the season to face Southwestern Oklahoma State.
