BOKCHITO — The Silo Rebels claimed a 9-0 victory over the Rock Creek Mustangs in six innings Thursday afternoon.
Silo put one on the board in the opening frame and added five in the top of the second to carry a 6-0 lead into the sixth. That’s when Jarris Hamilton connected for a three-run homer over the left-field fence
Hamilton finished 2-for-4 with the home run, a double and four RBIs. Lance House went 2-for-4 and Andrew Bolin 1-for-4.
Rock Creek recorded no hits in the game.
Trenton Long pitched all six innings for Silo, striking out six, walking two and hitting one batter.
Davis Rogers started on the mound for Rock Creek. He threw one and one-third innings with one strikeout and two of six runs earned. Noe Alinez pitched four and two-thirds innings with four strikeouts and three earned runs.
Rock Creek will make up Monday’s rainout by hosting Colbert (18-8, No. 5 in Class 2A) at noon today, then get ready for a 4 p.m. matchup with Calera (20-3, No. 4 in Class 2A).
