Early Saturday morning, area high school atheltes, grades 9-through-12, gathered at Paul Laird Field as Southeastern held fundamental football camps. Grades 1-through-8 was held on Friday.
Atheltes were put through an array of drills led by head coach Bo Atterberry. The Savage Storm coaching staff and a range of other instructors from top high school coaches, college coaches in the area and current players served as instructors.
“We are committed to providing a camp that is both instructional and informational,” said Atterberry, “Along with creating a great atmosphere to learn. The coaching staff at Southeastern Oklahoma State University is dedicated to the development and growth of football players of all ages and skill levels.”
The camp offered opportunities for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of football.
The goal is to provide a positive and instrumental learning experience for all, in a structured, enthusiastic and fun environment. Camps started at 9 a.m. and ended at 3:30 p.m.
