For the 10th-straight year, the Southeastern Oklahoma State University football team welcomed supporters and alumni for the Gridiron Golf Classic at Silverado Golf Course.

This event raises money to help maintain the high level of success that Savage Storm football has come to expect, according to the university’s sports information office.

A total of 106 golfers comprising 28 teams participated June 28. The four-man scramble began with a shotgun start.

The Stuteville Chevrolet team made up of Shawn Linton, Moochie Perkins, Doug Ishman and Ron Williamson took home the tournament championship.

Receiving specialty awards were Sam Sanchez for sinking the longest putt, Ron Williamson for closest to the pin and Greg Cranfill for connecting on the longest drive.

SE football would like to thank the many sponsors, along with the participants and volunteers, for their support of the Gridiron Golf Shootout and Southeastern football.
