Alice Krebs a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed away at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the age of 87 years 4 months and 8 days. She was born on Thursday, April 30, 1925 to James Williams and Fannie (Barnett) Green in Durant, Oklahoma. Alice married Joe Mike Krebs on Wednesday, June 15, 1949.
Alice worked as a sales clerk for Gibson Stores for many years. She was a member of the Nazarene Church. Alice loved children, especially babysitting. She loved dogs, but her beloved pet Scooby was her favorite.
Mrs. Krebs is survived by her son, Duane Krebs and wife Denise of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Misty Murphree and husband David of Mead, Oklahoma and Mandy Krebs of Denison, Texas; great-granddaughter, Brooke Murphree of Mead, Oklahoma; great-great grandson, Mason Lance of Mead, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Juanita Gann and husband Frank of Sherman, Texas; Brother-In-Law Ernest Krebs and wife Doyce of Fred,Texas, great-great nieces, Amanda Ned and husband Brian of Mead, Oklahoma, Brittany Ned of Mead, Oklahoma, Ashley Ned of Mead, Oklahoma and Shantyl Ned of Mead, Oklahoma; special friend, Joy Metts of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Krebs was preceded in death by her parents, James and Fannie Green; husband, Joe Krebs; son, Mike Krebs; sister, Katherine Mullens; brothers, Charles Green and Robert M. Green; her beloved pet, Scooby.
Family Hour will be from 7-8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Rev. Monty Woods and Rev. Tommy Green officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Ned, Tommy Green, Alex Murphree and Andy Murphree.
