DURANT (AP) — Authorities have suspended their search for a man who disappeared after jumping into Lake Texoma.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Durant police received a 911 call around 6:55 p.m. Thursday that someone was in the water about 300 yards south of the Roosevelt Bridge.
Troopers say a witness told them the man was in a boat and jumped out to swim. The man went under the water and never resurfaced.
Search efforts were suspended late Thursday, and resumed today.
