Bob G. Phipps a resident of Caddo, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the age of 83 years 1 month and 23 days. He was born in Mt. View, Oklahoma to Estel Joe and Martha Maria (McMichael) Phipps on Wednesday, December 4, 1929. Bob married Oleene Ballew in Sherman, Texas on Saturday, October 9, 1948. Bob worked for Johns-Manville as a shipping clerk and retired from the company after many years of service. He was a member of the Bryan Co. Bow Hunters and a Volunteer Fireman for the town of Caddo. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially mowing his yard. He loved watching sports especially the Texas Rangers and the OU Sooners. Bob loved his family and cherished the time he spent watching grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports.

Mr. Phipps is survived by his wife, Oleene of the home; daughters, Brenda Self of Caddo, Oklahoma, Debbie Wheat and husband Edward of Caddo, Oklahoma, Donna Heil and husband Dan of Hooker, Oklahoma and Teena Chalk and husband Steve of Caddo, Oklahoma; son, Joe Phipps and wife Darla of Caddo, Oklahoma; sister, Sharon Joines and husband Dale of Caddo, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tonia Miller and husband Todd of Caddo, Oklahoma, David Self and wife Dustee of Wichita, Kansas, Laci Peevyhouse and husband Lucas of Caddo, Oklahoma, Brian Wheat of Caddo, Oklahoma, Eric Wheat and wife Tracy of Caddo, Oklahoma, Sarah Heil of Duncan, Oklahoma, Lyndsay Robison and husband Daniel of Kenefic, Oklahoma, Amber Carpenter and husband Thomas of Durant, Oklahoma, Aaron Chalk of Caddo, Oklahoma, Zachary Phipps and wife Ashleigh of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Morgan Lowry and husband Cory of Caddo, Oklahoma and Spencer Phipps and wife Skye of Checotah, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Ty and Tobi Miller, Karsyn, AJ and Rylan Peevyhouse, Tanner and Zac Wheat, Paityn, Parker and Phallyn Lowry all of Caddo, Oklahoma, Adam Poston, Regan, Kate, and Ezra Self of Wichita, Kansas, Ryan and Leah Robison of Kenefic, Oklahoma and Isaac Phipps of Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

Mr. Phipps was preceded in death by his parents, E.J. and Martha Phipps; granddaughter, Tammy Ellen Wheat.

A Graveside Service in his honor will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be David Self, Brian Wheat, Eric Wheat, Zachary Phipps, Spencer Phipps, Aaron Chalk and Ty Miller.
