A Caddo woman was injured Wednesday after crashing her car into a culvert northwest of Durant on Highway 78.

Dana Ann Rushin, 43, was taken to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma and treated for head, trunk, arm and leg injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

She was transferred to OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City, and is in serious condition.

According to the patrol, Rushin was eastbound in an Oldsmobile at 11:30 p.m. when she drove off the left side of the road and struck a concrete culvert.

The roadway was wet due to misting.

Rushin wore a seat belt according to Trooper James Reinecker’s report.
