Colbert students were evacuated at approximately 9:45 this morning after a fire started in the middle school, according to emergency radio broadcasts.
The fire started in the back of the school near the basketball court and it was out shortly after firefighters arrived. According to reports, it was believed to be electrical in nature.
Additional details were not available at press time this morning.
