COLBERT – Ten high school baseball teams from seven southern Oklahoma counties will participate in the fifth annual Colbert Summer Invitational Baseball Tournament which starts Wednesday.
Half of the 10 teams appeared in the Class 2A, A and B state tournaments this past spring. Rattan is the defending class A champion, and will be joined by 2A semifinalist Tushka, and Class A and B state qualifiers Coleman, Roff, and Tupelo.
There is a slight chance of showers on the first afternoon of the tournament, which is also the first official day of summer. A high of 89 is expected Wednesday, with temperatures slowly rising into the upper 90s by Saturday, when a champion will be crowned.
Adult admission is $3 and students get in for $2.

WEDNESDAY
10 a.m. – Boswell vs. Rock Creek
Noon – Rattan vs. Boswell/Rock Creek winner
2 p.m. – Calera vs. Madill
4 p.m. – Colbert vs. Calera/Madill winner
THURSDAY
10 a.m. – Tushka vs. Tupelo
Noon – Coleman vs. Roff
2 p.m. – Boswell/Rock Creek loser vs. Coleman/Roff loser
3:30 p.m. – Tushka/Tupelo loser vs. Madill/Calera loser
5 p.m. – Coleman/Roff winner vs. Rattan bracket winner
7 p.m. – Tushka/Tupelo winner vs. Colbert bracket winner
FRIDAY
Loser bracket games: 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m.
5:30 p.m. - Winner bracket game
SATURDAY
11 a.m. – Loser bracket final
12:30 p.m. – Winner bracket semifinal
2:30 p.m. – Championship (4:30 p.m. final game if necessary)
