On Monday, the Bryan County Commissioners held a special meeting to discuss and take action for the estimate of needs for charity for fiscal year 2012-2013.

District 1 Monty Montgomery said the commissioners usually designate $600 for charity to be used for four indigent burials. He proposed the commissioners allot $800 this fiscal year “in order to pay $50 more per burial for each one.”

The commissioners approved this change.

The commissioners also approved setting percentages of T-Hwy funds per district back to the original 33 1/3 per district.

In other news, the commissioners renewed a contract between Beckham County Juvenile and Bryan County Commissioners for 2012-2013 and approved a bid for 2012 or newer four-door sedan for the Bryan County Sheriff’s office.
