Hazel Anderson a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the age of 82. She was born in Old Allison, Oklahoma to Charles Den and Ester (Blair) Russell on August 23, 1930. Hazel Russell married Bill Anderson in Sherman, Texas on August 2, 1947.
Hazel had a caring nature that led her to work in Health Care for 30 years. She enjoyed being outside in her garden. But most of all Hazel loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her; husband, Bill Joe Anderson of the home; son, Larry Joe Anderson and wife Mary of Kingston, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Bill Anderson and wife Sunny of Durant, Oklahoma and Tina Stroud and husband Jerry of Durant, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Jaxon Anderson and Ava Anderson of Durant, Oklahoma; sisters, Mary Bates of Durant, Oklahoma and Elnora Gee of Calera, Oklahoma; brother, John Russell of Sun City, California.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her; parents, Charles and Ester Russell; grandson, Keith Anderson; brothers, Alton, Cleave, Joe, Tritt, Jimmy and Neal Russell; sisters, Norma Mitchell and Betty Kutchman.
Family Hour will be 6-7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be 10:00 Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Rev. Dan McLemore and Rev. Dustin Bates officiating. Interment will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Bill Anderson, Jerry Stroud, Steve Bates, Dennis Russell, Tracy Fields and Ray Gee.
