Two Hendrix boys are in serious condition at Parkland Hospital in Dallas following a Wednesday morning crash on Hendrix Road.
Trevor A. Boney, 13, and Preston G. Boney, 10, were airlifted following the 7:25 a.m. accident, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. Both suffered head and internal-trunk injuries.
According to the patrol, the boys were passengers in a car driven by their mother, Kimberly Gail Jones, 31, Hendrix. Jones was northbound on Carpenter’s Bluff Road and traveling on a curve to enter Hendrix Road when she traveled left of center and collided head on with an eastbound pickup driven by Chad Everett Hamilton Davis, 32, Hendrix.
Jones declined treatment for minor injuries. Her daughter, Whitney E. Boney, 14, Hendrix, was not injured. Davis was taken to Texoma Medical Center in Denison for evaluation, according to the patrol.
All wore seat belts, according to Trooper Scott King’s report. Traveling left of center and frost on the windshield were cited as the causes of the crash.
Also Wednesday, authorities responded to a rollover crash at Orchard and Leavenworth Trail roads. No serious injuries were disclosed in that crash.
