Janie Caroll Hunnicutt Boling

Janie Caroll Hunnicutt Boling, 63, of Laramie, Wyo., died Thursday July 5, 2012, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. She was born February 8, 1949, in Durant, OK to Charles and Norma (Pena) Hunnicutt. She was raised in Farmington, NM where she graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1967. She was active in rodeos with barrel racing and pole bending. She had met Ron Boling and they were married there May 11, 1973. Shortly after they moved to Anchorage, Alaska and in the fall of 1975 they moved to Greeley, CO, later to North Platte, NE, then to Laramie where they have lived since.

Janie was a huge animal lover, feeding all the stray kitties on the ranch. She spoiled every animal she crossed. She would take pictures of the moose in the yard and the deer that would walk up on her front porch. She would name all the animals by their personality.

Janie and Ron spent a lot of time traveling and enjoying her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Boling of Laramie, WY; a son Warren Boling and his wife Leah of Arlington, VA; her mother Norma Jenkins of Mead, OK; two sisters Ladene Whitaker of Olney, TX and Linda Chapman of Haskel, TX. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Charity Flippo, Austin Flippo, Teala Boling and Xylan Boling and a great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home with Pastor David Grace officiating. Cremation will follow.

Visitation will be held Sunday July 8 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
