Louise Laverne Carroll, 93, of Bokchito entered into eternal peace August 24, 2010, at the Medical Center of S.E. OK. Louise was born April 22, 1917 in Durant to Henry Earl Keithley and Mabel B. (Haley) Keithley. Louise married the love of her life B.M. “Benny” Carroll November 7, 1937, in Durant and they were married almost 60 years and were life time residents of Bryan County. Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bokchito. She was especially involved in youth activities and was a long time Sunday school teacher. She worked as a clerk at the Bokchito Variety Store. She and Benny owned a convenience store and gas station in Bokchito. She later worked at Texas Instruments for a number of years. Louise loved gardening, garage sales and spending time with all her grandchildren.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents, husband Benny, Brothers; W.L. “PeeWee” Keithley, W.R. “Bill” Keithley, sisters; Helen Shelton, Marie Smith and Mary Welch.

Louise is survived by a daughter Linda Thompson and husband Randell of Bokchito, Granddaughter Toni Reynolds and husband Mitch of Bokchito, Grandsons Gary Thompson of Bokchito and Russell Thompson and wife Paula of Bokchito, Great grandsons Marion Ingram and wife Jessie of Bokchito, Cody Dosh and fiancé Kari House, great granddaughters Ashton Thompson of Bokchito and Kassie Reynolds of Beggs, OK and 3 great great granddaughters Kendra Ingram of Bokchito, Hailey Haislip and Carlie Haislip of Beggs, OK. and numerous nieces, nephews, family and a host of others that knew her as Mam-ma.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Bokchito with Bro. Fred Ward, Bro. Anthony Williams and Chaplain LaWanda Mabry officiating. Burial will follow at Bokchito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Deel, Paul Neal, Billy Ingram, Donald Buchanan, Mitch Reynolds, Ed Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marion Ingram, Cody Dosh and Mark Mefford. Family hour will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Brown’s Funeral Home.
