A Greenville, Texas, man was hospitalized after a weekend motorcycle crash on a county road in Hendrix.
Stephen Baird, 29, was flown by LifeStar helicopter to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, to be treated for arm, leg and trunk injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
According to the patrol, Baird was southbound on his Suzuki motorcycle when he drove off the roadway, struck a ditch, became airborne and landed back onto the road. The cycle then traveled back off the roadway and hit a fence.
Unsafe speed on a curve was cited in Trooper Kyle Ince’s report as the cause of the crash. Baird wore a helmet.
