Marilyn Jeanetta Haley entered this life on Thursday, December 12, 1940 in Shirley, Arizona born to Homer and Cora (Cook) Caldwell and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 71.

Marilyn married Rex Haley on February 14, 1970 in Silo, Oklahoma and they spent 42 wonderful years together. She was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ in Durant and she enjoyed quilting, gardening, shopping, fishing, and dearly loved her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother Cora Bessent and father Homer Caldwell.

Marilyn is survived by her loving and devoted husband Rex Haley of the home; sons Darrell Meadors and wife Alice of Sherman, Texas and Charles Carlton and wife Jean of Colorado Springs, Colorado; step sons Lynnard Haley of Lubbock, Texas and Larry Haley of Bryan, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and many loved friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Northwest Church of Christ. Mickie Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Ron Boyer, Steve O’Steen, Keith Richardson, Herb Manning, Jay Mauck and Paul Mauck serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
