May’s Hospice hosted a free blood pressure clinic and ice cream social for local senior citizens Friday.
The event is the second of the kind May’s Hospice has held lately. The hospice also had the same kind of event in Madill.
During the event, any senior who gets his or her blood pressure checked gets a prepackaged bowl of ice cream.
This year is the first time the hospice has done the clinic but community Education Coordinator Yvonne Womeldorff said that they would love to do this again.
She said this is a service they want to provide for the senior citizens of the community.
“We are getting out there with the seniors of the community and giving back to them” said Womeldorff.
