Melvina Lois Jordan, age, 78, of Colbert, Oklahoma, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, January 28, 2011, at Southern Pointe Living Center in Colbert, Oklahoma. Melvina was born to Raymond and Vada Longmire Hill on June 4, 1932, at Telephone, Texas. She married Raymond Jordan on March 12, 1949 in Denison, Texas. To this union was born four children, Richard, Linda, Ted and Kathleen. She was employed by Texas Instruments for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Colbert, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond of the home, sons, Richard and wife, Vickie of Colbert, Ok., Ted and wife Jan of Denison, Tx., daughters, Linda Sims and husband Larry of Rockledge, Fl., and Kathleen Kidwell and husband Tim of Trenton, Tx., sister, Beverly Wakefield and husband Robert of Mckinney, Tx., brother, Jimmy Hill and wife Judy, of Pottsboro, Texas, grandchildren, Stephanie Behrens, Jason Allen, Joshua Allen, Christopher Jordan, Michael Jordan, Kayla Murphree and Tray Kidwell, sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Vada Hill, grandson, Kevin Jordon and sister, Vada Lilley.

Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, January 30, 2011, 7:30 – 9 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Colbert, Oklahoma. Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 31, 2011, 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Colbert, Oklahoma. Brother Roy Vinson will officiate with Elaine Lashley pianist and special music by Merideth Behrens.

Grandsons will be pallbearers, Christopher Jordan, Michael Jordan, Joshua Allen, Tray Kidwell, Justin Behrens, Brock Murphree, Robby Wakefield. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Allen, Doug Handlang, Jimmy Hill, Nelson Bowles and Robert Wakefield.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Denison, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the First Baptist Chuch Building Fund, Colbert, Oklahoma.
