Two people were injured Monday when the motorcycle they were riding went off the road, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

Cameron Ballew, 24, Calera, was driving a motorcycle at 10:08 p.m. on Highway 70E and Bray Road when the cycle hit loose grave and traveled off the right side of the road, impacting the ground.

Ballew was flown to Plano Medical Center, Plano, Texas, where he is listed in stable condition with internal injuries. A passenger, Brittany Larkins, 25, Calera, was taken to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. According to the patrol, she is in stable condition with trunk injuries.

According to Trooper B.J. Keeling’s report, neither were wearing helmets. An inexperienced motorcycle operator was cited in the report as the cause of the crash. The Choctaw Nation Tribal Police and the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
