A Kingston man who had not been seen since last month drowned on Lake Texoma in Marshall County, the Lake Patrol division of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

The body of Teddy Allen Pennytacker III, 34, was found at 7:35 a.m. Saturday at the North Island of the lake.

According to the patrol, Pennytacker had last been seen alive on Nov. 28, and during the past few weeks, had been making round trips by an inner tube from Taylor Island to the North Island, and then onto another nearby small island to camp.

The patrol said that Pennytacker apparently preferred a solitary lifestyle. The victim’s body was found by a boater in shallow water near the North Island shoreline.

Troopers said there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body and foul play is not suspected. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the body.

Trooper Danny Chaffin of the Lake Texoma detachment investigated the drowning. Marshall County Trooper Dusty Pruitt assisted.
