Peggy Shirley Ann Cox Keenon Yandell was born December 11th 1941 at Bennington Oklahoma in the Beams Community to Lester Lee and Della Cox. She went home to be with the Lord on September 1st 2012.
Preceding her in death were her parents Lester and Della Cox, brothers G. A. Cox, Eugene Cox, Glen Cox, sister Billie Berry and loving husband Clarence Yandell. She has two sons Gene Keenon and wife Melynda of Kilgore, Texas and Randy Keenon and wife Lisa of Liberty City, Texas, two stepdaughters Lyda McCormack and husband Marshall of Rocket, Texas and Pat Harris of Ferris, Texas, one stepson C.N. Yandell III and wife Alexa of Lake Dallas, TX, special friend Wade Dozier, 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many friends and family.
Ann loved the Lord and her church. She taught Sunday school and bible school to children. She was a respiratory therapist and nurse and also private sitting for 44 years. She loved her work.
Services will be at Faith Baptist Church in Bokchito, Oklahoma at 10 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2012. Bro. Scott Melton, Bro. Phillip Rowland and Bro. Fred Ward will officiate. Family visitation will be at Brown’s Funeral Service Thursday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com. The family wishes to thank Legacy Hospice and The Willows of Kilgore Nursing Center for the wonderful care and love they showed to Shirley.
