The Durant Board of Education met for 45 minutes on Monday, with two-thirds of that time spent behind closed doors to discuss personnel.

Upon return to open session, the board approved a handful of resignations and substitutes as well as the hiring of certified and support personnel for 21 full and part time positions.

Resignations received: Carla Rainbolt, Becky Craig, Sarah Mexia, Molly Motsenbocker, Jessica Mitchell, Jonelle Blackburn, Cory Lowry, Belinda Pugh, Russ Allen, Judy Allen, Billy Williams and Lillian Lackey.

New certified personnel hired on Monday: Jessica Lewis, DMS special education; Heather Dobbins, DIS special education; Diana Cowan, DIS special education; Tarah McKinney, speech pathologist; Misty Cox, speech pathologist; Jesse Curtis, NWH Spanish teacher; Polly Wilson, LPC/social worker; Lucreatia Decker, DHS counselor; Brittany Tucker, Indian education teacher.

New support personnel hired on Monday: Teacher assistants Brandi Green, Amanda Lee, Jama McClure, Erin Richardson, Adrianna Trraza, Truman Smith, Kasey Jackson, Julie Dollar, Craig Andrus; child nutrition employees Scott Hinkle, Lucy Kuhn, Cheryl Colvin, Debra Booher, Sherry Pair, Dana Briedwell; custodian Carla Hale; transportation employees Teresa Nickels, Jimmy Brewer, Earl Kennedy.
