Police investigate robbery

Police responded to a robbery call last week and several people have been arrested in the incident, Durant Police said Monday.

Officers spoke with the victim, Destiny Clements at her apartment in the 1300 block of North Sixth Avenue. She advised she was in her bedroom apartment with 2 other friends. She stated Kristapher Buchanan, Jolene Dickerson, Toni Moreland, and Cody Turner entered her apartment without permission. She stated approximately $500 was taken during the robbery. The victim told police that Buchanan used force to hold her and made threats prior to stealing the currency, according to police.

After the investigation, Dickerson, 39, Moreland, 35, and Turner, 28, were arrested for robbery and transported to the Bryan County Jail without incident. All of the suspects have since been charged with robbery by force or fear.

Buchanan is still at large and currently has an active felony warrant out for his arrest through Bryan County. If anyone has information on his whereabouts please contact the Durant Crime tip line at 580-924-8845.

In other crime news, a teenager led authorities on a chase early Monday morning on Highway 69/75. The chase ended near the weigh station when the girl drove into a ditch and then ran away. Authorities said she was found after a search.
