Not much later, it was decided to cancel the whole shebang.
“We decided it was in everybody's best interest to cancel the whole thing,” said Durant coach Perry Turnbow who spoke with Durant athletics director Drew Young this morning. “It wasn't looking like we'd be able to play tomorrow, and it looks like it will rain the rest of the weekend.
“This gives coaches a chance to pick up games somewhere else, although I don't know where that could happen. Its been pretty wet everywhere else to.”
Durant’s most recently scheduled game was a road date at Ardmore Tuesday, but that too was canceled.
Next up for the Lady Lions, weather permitting, will be a road trip to Atoka Monday.
